UPDATE (WKOW) ā Dane County sheriffās officials say one person is dead after an OWI crash in the town of Sun Prairie.
Investigators believe a pickup truck tried to pass a car on Highway T as it was turning into a driveway. The truck hit the driverās side of the car, leaving both people inside with significant injuries. The pickup truck driver had minor injuries.
Authorities say the driver of the car died at the site of the crash. The person in the passenger seat was airlifted to a hospital.
Nicholas J. Hanley, of Sun Prairie, has been arrested for homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and fourth offense OWI-causing injury. Hanley also faces traffic citations.
Everyone was wearing their seatbelt.
