Barron County authorities ask for volunteers in search for missing girl

The Barron County Sheriff’s Office is asking for volunteers to search for missing teenager Jayme Closs.

They are asking for 100 volunteers to report to the intersection of State Highway 8 and 16th Street at 2:00 p.m. in the City of Barron to help search for clues into her disappearance.

The sheriff says volunteers will need to show identification and be able to walk on uneven terrain. They’re asked to bring hard-soled shoes and proper clothing. Volunteers are asked to provide their own water.

Jayme went missing after her parents, James and Denise, were found shot to death. Authorities consider her in danger.
