Woman dies in Janesville collision Friday morning

Authorities say a 74-year-old woman was killed in crash at Milton Avenue and Refset Drive in Janesville Friday morning.  Her name hasn’t been released, pending her family being notified.

A news release said emergency crews arrived on the scene a little before 12 noon to find that a Chevy Cruze and a Cadillac had collided. Janesville Police officers found two people in the Chevy Cruze and one person in the Cadillac. Janesville Fire Department attended to the victims at the scene.

It’s not known who was driving which vehicle and the condition of the two other people wasn’t specified in the release. Their identifies haven’t been made public either.

Officer Steve Carpenter responded to reconstruct the scene due to the nature of the injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
