$25,000 reward for information on missing Barron County girl

A reward of $25,000 is being offered for information that would lead to the missing Barron County 13-year-old.

Deputies responding to a 911 call on Oct. 15 found James and Denise Closs dead in their home and their 13-year-old daughter, Jayme Closs, missing. Investigators believe she was abducted and have ruled her out as a suspect in her parents’ deaths.

With few hard clues, sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said at a Wednesday news conference that the search is being conducted nationwide.

He’s asking that anyone who was traveling Highway 8 early Oct. 15 to contact the tip line at  tip line at 1-855-744-3879.

No items of evidentiary value were recovered during yesterday’s search, Fitzgerald said.

Jennifer Smith, Jayme’s aunt, had a message for her missing niece.

“Jayme, we need you here with us to fill that hole we have in our hearts,” she said. “We love you to the moon and back and will never stop looking for you.”
