Faith-based community called to action on opioid crisis

Leaders in the faith community are coming together this week to learn what they and their faithful can do to address Wisconsin’s opioid crisis.

The state Department of Health Services is hosting summits in Milwaukee, De Pere, and Rice Lake to talk about the role of the faith community in prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts.

These summits are one part of Governor Walker’s plan to reduce the number of opioid-related deaths in Wisconsin.
