Former vice president Joe Biden visits Madison

MADISON (WKOW) — It’s been a busy past few days in Wisconsin. Many big name politicians have been coming to help candidates with last minute campaigning.

On Tuesday, former vice president Joe Biden will be in Madison. He’ll be campaigning with senator Tammy Baldwin, democratic governor candidate Tony Evers and other democratic candidates in the state.

He’s also coming to encourage people to get out and vote early with his “Get out the vote” event.

Security will be high at the event. UW police said there is a strict no bag policy, which means no backpacks, purses or fanny packs.

The event will be at the Gordon Dining and Event Center at UW Madison. Doors will open at 9 a.m.

Meanwhile, Republican Leah Vukmir will be joined by President Trump's son, Eric, during stops in Wisconsin Tuesday, including Wisconsin Rapids.

Vukmir is challenging Incumbent Democrat Tammy Baldwin for U-S Senate.
