Woman in “stable” condition after eastside shooting

 Madison Police say a 29-year-old women who was taken to the hospital after a shooting on the city’s east side has been treated and is now stable.

UPDATE (WKOW) — Madison Police said a 29-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after a shooting on the city’s east side.

Police said they got a call around 9:10 p.m. that a woman had a woman with a gunshot wound on N. Fair Oaks Avenue,  just north of Milwaukee Street. When they arrived, they said the woman had a single, life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest.

She was taken to the hospital. Her current status is unknown.

Police said there have been no arrests. Police are working on gathering information and trying to determine a suspect.

MADISON (WKOW) — Madison Police are investigating a shooting at the corner of Milwaukee St. and Fair Oaks Ave. on the city’s east side.

Police said the call came in about 9:00 p.m. Sunday.

Dane County officials say one person has been taken to the hospital, though their condition isn’t known at this time.

As of 10 p.m., no arrests have been made, but officers continue to canvass the area.
