DNR investigating shooting of albino deer in LaFayette County

 Wisconsin DNR officials confirm they are investigating after the discovery of an albino deer that had been shot and killed in LaFayette County.

Andy Droessler posted a photo to Facebook that he had taken previously of the deer, then added that the deer was found shot dead over the weekend.

Someone, “shot our beautiful albino doe over the weekend on Hilldale Road in Lafayette county and just left her laying along the side of the road,” Droessler wrote in the post.

The Wisconsin DNR Bureau of Law Enforcement is investigating the complaint of a white deer that was found shot near near Cuba City on the afternoon of Sunday, Nov 25, according to a DNR spokesperson.

White or albino deer are illegal to harvest, according to the DNR.
