“World of Variety” stores in southern Wisconsin close after 47 years

FENNIMORE (WKOW) — Friday marks the end of an era for a local business in southern Wisconsin.

“World of Variety” stores in Fennimore, Boscobel, Mt. Horeb and Cross Plains were all open for the last time. Previous locations in Verona and Darlington already closed.

A post on Facebook shows people lined up outside the store in Fennimore. The Mudler family is closing the business after 47 years.
