Winter Weather to impact southern Wisconsin Friday and Saturday

Snow is expected to spread into south central Wisconsin this afternoon and overspread much of the area early this evening. The snow will taper off late Friday night into Saturday morning across south central Wisconsin.

Winter Storm Warnings are now in effect for the WI counties bordering IL and the Milwaukee metro area. Winter Weather Advisories are in effect just north of the warned areas.

Hazards: Accumulating snow, with highest snowfall of 4 to 8 inches over far southern WI and from the Milwaukee metro area south to the IL border. Snow causing restricted visibility and hazardous travel conditions. Drifting and areas of blowing snow will occur Saturday afternoon and continue along the lake through Saturday night.
