Chase in Fitchburg leads to stolen car

From Fitchburg PD:

On February 9, 2019, at approximately 1:02 a.m., a Fitchburg police officer observed a stolen automobile in the area of Coho St. and Post Rd. The vehicle fled the area prior to the officer having a chance to stop it. Two other Fitchburg police officers located the vehicle minutes later in the area of Seminole Hwy. and Lilac Ln. The suspects fled in the vehicle a short distance until they crashed into a snowbank at the dead end of Lilac Ln. All four vehicle occupants then fled on foot.

Fitchburg Police K9 Drago located and apprehended the driver. Another Fitchburg police officer and a Dane County sheriff’s deputy were able to apprehend two of the passengers. One passenger was not located. The driver was a 16 year old male. He was taken to the Juvenile Reception Center on charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent and Resisting an Officer. The two passengers were both 14 year old females. They were taken to the Juvenile Reception Center on charges of OMVWOC-Passenger and Resisting an Officer. The Fitchburg Police Department was assisted by the Dane County Sheriff's Office and the Town of Madison Police Department.
