Firefighters battle early morning house fire in Town of Sun Prairie

TOWN OF SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) — Sun Prairie firefighters battled a house fire for several hours in single digit weather early Thursday morning.

Sun Prairie Fire Chief Chris Garrison says firefighters were called to the 5000 block of Stark Road in the Town of Sun Prairie just after 1 a.m. for a report of a structure fire.

When they arrived, they say they found three people outside of the home. Firefighters battled the fire for over three and a half hours, according to Chief Garrison.

No one was hurt in the fire and Red Cross was sent to provide assistance to the residents.

Fire officials say the estimated damage to the home is about $150,000 dollars. The fire is still under investigation.
