Sanders to hold rally in Madison

MADISON (WKOW) — U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders is coming to Wisconsin to “highlight Democrats’ path to victory in 2020.”

Sanders will be in Madison on Friday, April 12 at James Madison Park. He is scheduled to speak at 5 p.m.

In a news release about his visit, organizers said he will also hold rallies other battleground states this weekend including Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Ohio.

In 2016, Sanders won the Wisconsin and Michigan primaries. He eventually lost to Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania.

While tickets aren’t required Friday, it is recommended that youRSVP ahead of time.
