Madison bank robber captured minutes after committing crime

Police say an arrest made Friday afternoon will likely go down as one of the quickest apprehensions of a bank robber in MPD history.

According to an incident report, a call was made around 12:40 p.m. reporting a heist at Old National Bank on 2929 N. Sherman Ave.

Officials say the suspect, 21-year-old Andrew E. Ruiz Dailey, was handcuffed on the ground by 12:43 p.m. after dropping a bag of the bank’s money.
