No injuries after pilot crashes at Reedsburg airport

REEDSBURG (WKOW) — The pilot of a small airplane is unhurt after losing control after landing at the Reedsburg Municipal Airport Saturday afternoon.

Reedsburg Police, Fire and EMS were sent to the airport just before 3 p.m., according to a Reedsburg Police Department Facebook post. When officers got there, they found the plane nose down on the runway.

The pilot, John Jorgensen, 65, from Madison, said he lost control of the plane just after landing, but was uninjured in the crash, according to police. The plane had minor damage.

The Federal Aviation Administration, police said, took over for an official investigation.
