Madison man knocked unconscious and robbed

MADISON (WKOW) — A man was knocked unconscious and robbed in Madison late Wednesday night. Police are still searching for the suspects, according to the Madison Police Department.

It happened at about 10:15 p.m. in the 3700 block of Packers Avenue.

Police said the 23-year-old victim was returning home and was walking from his vehicle to his residence when he was blindsided by two men. One suspect held a gun to his head and the other held a gun to the victim’s torso. He was pistol-whipped and knocked unconscious. Authorities said the victim was robbed of his backpack and personal property.

The suspects ran away from the scene before police got there. They have not yet been located.

Police provided these descriptions:

Suspect # 1: Male, black, 20-25 years old, short dreadlocks, 5’09”-5’11” with a medium build. Wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants.
Suspect # 2: Male, black, 20-25 years old, possibly shaven head, 5’10” with a stocky build. Wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and hat.

The victim was taken to the hospital.
