MIDDLETON (WKOW) — Middleton police arrested a Madison woman Sunday evening under suspicion of a 4th OWI.
Christie Lou Waugh, 52, of Madison, was arrested and faces charges of 4th offense Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated, a felony.
A witness called police about 7:30 p.m. Sunday about a possible drunken driver, telling dispatchers the vehicle was “all over the road.”
An officer with the Middleton Police Department found the vehicle eastbound US Highway 12 and University Avenue and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle after watching the car deviate from its designated lane, according to a news release.
The officer said Waugh was displaying signs of impairment by alcohol, according to the news release.
Waugh was also issued citations for Operating a Motor Vehicle while Revoked, Deviation from Designated Lane and for Drinking Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle.
