LODI (WKOW) — A woman is dead and two people are hurt after a head on crash in Columbia County Sunday evening.
Sheriff’s officials say an SUV crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle on Highway J near the intersection with Richards Road in the town of Lodi. This happened around 5 p.m. on June 9.
Authorities say the man who crossed into traffic was airlifted to a hospital in Madison. His passenger was also taken to the hospital. The woman driving the vehicle that was hit died at the crash site.
Officials are still investigating the crash and say the road is still closed as of about 8 p.m. Sunday.
