Sheriff releases identity of man shot in Marquette County standoff

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office today released the name and status of the man shot by a Columbia County sheriff’s deputy after a standoff Monday afternoon.

James Carlson, 44, of Buffalo Township, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after being shot by a member of Columbia County’s tactical response team, according to Marquette County Sheriff Joseph Konrath.
