Fricke found guilty in fatal shooting of Milwaukee police officer

A Milwaukee County jury found 27 year old Jordan Fricke guilty on Friday on all four criminal counts against him in the fatal shooting of Milwaukee Police Officer Matthew Rittner.

Fricke took the stand in his own defense on Friday morning. Closing arguments got underway in the case shortly before 1 p.m. - and were completed about an hour later.

Fricke was facing multiple charges, including first degree intentional homicide. That charge carries a mandatory life sentence.

On December 6th, Officer Rittner was shot and killed while executing a warrant on gun and drug charges at Fricke's home when he was shot. Rittner's death was the third officer killed in the line of duty in less than a year.
