Parts of Baraboo without gas service after underground line struck

Parts of Baraboo and the town of Baraboo are without gas service after an underground line was struck Tuesday afternoon.

Baraboo Fire Department, Baraboo Police Department and Baraboo ambulance responded about 2 p.m. to the area near Vine Street and Maple Street in the city of Baraboo.

Responding units learned that utility work with an excavator struck a 2” high pressure underground line.
