Waunakee man to play Bruce Lee in new Tarantino movie

WAUNAKEE (WKOW) — A Waunakee man will soon bring his martial arts skills to the big screen in a film starring Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie.

Mike Moh will play Bruce Lee in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, in theaters Friday, July 26.

The Quentin Tarantino movie is described as a comedy-drama.

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore. The ninth film from the writer-director features a large ensemble cast and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age.

Thursday on Wake Up Wisconsin, Moh talked to our crew about what it meant to be in such a big movie.

“This is really something that, not only I worked for, but I literally dreamed [of] this my whole life,” he said.

Moh has been doing martial arts since he was 12-years-old. He now owns a studio in Waunakee calledMoh’s Martial Arts. He said that passion helped him get his start in entertainment.

As for working with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood…

“They’re role models of mine,” said Moh. ” Especially working with Brad is something I will never forget, he’s so humble and hardworking. I hope I get to work with him again.”

He said he also enjoyed working and learning from Quentin Tarantino.

“His passion is making movies and everything about it sets him on fire in the best possible way,” Moh commented.
