MSCR executive director arrested on child porn charges

McFARLAND (WKOW) — Police arrested the executive director of Madison School and Community Recreation on multiple counts of possession of child pornography.

McFarland police arrested Jacob D. Tisue, 44, of McFarland, and booked him into the Dane County Jail, according to a press release from Police Chief Craig J. Sherven sent Thursday. Tisue is the Executive Director of Madison School and Community Recreation, a Madison Metropolitan School District organization dedicated to “providing recreation and enrichment opportunities year-round that are accessible to all,” according to its website.

The case, Sherven said, is being reviewed by the Dane County District Attorney’s Office.

Rachel Strauch-Nelson, a spokesperson for MMSD, said Tisue had been placed on leave while the district cooperates with the investigation.

“This is incredibly difficult news for all of us to grasp and we will continue to work with law enforcement and take action based on the criminal process,” Strauch-Nelson said.

School Board president Gloria Reyes reiterated the district’s position adding that they’re working closely with law enforcement to determine their next steps.

“As we continue to receive details about the investigation we will provide additional information and support our MSCR staff and school community,” she said.

“This is an active, ongoing investigation and thus no further information is able to be released at this time,” Sherven said. “This case is not related to other recent investigations.”

Police ask anyone with information related to this case to contact Detective Michael Klementz at (608) 838-3151.
