Langdon Street attacker sentenced to seven years in prison

A Dane County judge sentenced the man who admitted to the beating of a UW-Madison student on Langdon Street in February to seven years in prison.

Judge Susan Crawford also sentenced Jerome Winslow, 22, to five years of extended supervision for first-degree recklessly endangering safety. While out on supervision Winslow cannot have contact with the victim or her family, cannot own weapons and cannot possess alcohol or drugs without a valid prescription, among other conditions.

Crawford also gave Winslow prison and extended supervision time on charges of recklessly endangering safety and substantial battery. However, those sentences will be served concurrently to the other charge.
