Columbus man charged with felony endangering safety

The victim of a random stabbing in a public park in Madison tells 27 News his pain was masked by adrenaline in the moments after a stranger plunged a knife into his back.

“I mean it just happened so quickly,” the 24-year-old man says. He’s asked that his name not be published.

63-year-old Barry Budris of Columbus was charged Friday with felony first degree reckless endangering safety as he appeared for a hearing in Dane County Court.
