Suspect nearly hits 100 mph while leading Dane County deputies on chase

DANE COUNTY (WKOW) — Deputies say a suspect led officers on a chase that nearly hit 100 miles per hour as it went through several municipalities in Dane County.

It all started with a traffic stop on a vehicle at CTH B/Keenan Road in the town of Dunn, according to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office. Officers say the suspect vehicle took off shortly after the stop.

Deputies say the 20-minute chase took officers on a circuitous route through parts of Fitchburg, the town and city of Madison and the town of Dunn. During the chase, officers say they hit a maximum speed of 94 miles per hour as they traveled on Highway 14 in Fitchburg.

The chase ended when the suspect vehicle hit a curb in a roundabout at the end of Nobel Drive and Fahey Glen in Fitchburg.

Deputies say the driver is Keelan Seaton of Madison. He was arrested for eluding, bail jumping, possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for operating after suspension.

No one was hurt.
