Columbia Co. Sheriff’s Office responds to crash with school bus and truck

A school bus driver failed to yield while turning left onto a highway, causing a minor crash, deputies say.

Two children on the bus and the bus driver were not hurt. The driver and passenger in the pickup truck were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. They’re expected to survive.

The collision happened just before 3:30 at the intersection of state highway 22 and county highway B in Lowville Township. The truck hit the bus on the right side of its front bumper.

The bus driver was cited for failing to yield.
