On 9/28/19 at approximately 12:30 am Madison police officers were sent to a report of a vehicle being shot at on E. Washington Ave. When officers arrived they contacted a 19 year old male who stated his vehicle had been shot at while he was driving outbound on E. Washington Ave., possibly near Hwy 51. Fortunately, none of the four occupants in the victim vehicle were injured. The suspect vehicle was described as a dark colored Lincoln SUV and was last seen driving southbound from E. Washington Ave. The victim claimed to have no idea why his vehicle was targeted. MPD's investigation into this incident is ongoing.
