MADISON (WKOW) — Police say one person is dead after a vehicle hit a pedestrian on East Washington Avenue Thursday night.
Police were called to the intersection of E. Washington Ave. and N. Baldwin St. around 7:30 p.m.
Officers say the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office was requested to respond to the scene for a deceased person.
Westbound traffic on East Washington Ave. was shut down during the investigation. Lanes were reopened before 10:30 p.m.
