Life sentence for man convicted in Madison homicide

MADISON (WKOW) — The man convicted in a Madison homicide will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Dametrius Reeves, 37, was convicted in the death of Kendrith Young.

Authorities say Reeves and Curtis Langlois shot Young at the 7-Eleven off the Beltline at Todd Drive in August of 2017. Police called Young’s death an assassination.

Reeves’ sentence does not include a chance for parole.

Langlois is already serving a life sentence.
