MADISON (WKOW) — Three people are unable to stay in their north Madison home after a “potentially intentional” fire damaged it late Sunday, according to the Madison Fire Department.

The fire was reported in the 400 block of Starling Lane at about 10:10 p.m. Callers reported flames coming from the home.

The fire was put out quickly and no nearby homes were impacted.

All of the people inside the home were able to get out safely.

The Madison Police Department and the Madison Fire Department are investigating this case as a possible arson.

A person of interest has been identified and has been arrested.

Authorities said this appears to have been an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.
