A woman is being held on $200,000 bond after police say she shot her estranged husband in the face in Janesville last week.

Nova Suarez, 43, appeared in Rock County Circuit Court Monday and was charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide in connection with the Oct. 16 shooting of her estranged husband.

Police say 48-year-old Jeff Suarez police he was at an ATM on Center Ave. in Janesville when he noticed a van approach him. He saw the driver was his estranged wife. He heard a gunshot and was hit in the face.
