DANE COUNTY (WKOW) — Deputies say they arrested a man for his sixth OWI offense after reports he was swerving all over the road and ran two other vehicles off the road.
Gary Simonson, 65, of Portage was arrested and taken to the Dane County Jail Monday night.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office says dispatchers received reports about Simonson’s behavior as he drove from Columbia County into Dane County.
Deputies caught up to his vehicle as it turned onto Hoepker Road in the town of Burke.
Simonson was arrested after a traffic stop. He was booked into jail after a warrant was obtained for a blood draw.
Officers say no one was hurt.
