Cocaine dealing investigation leads to arrest of Madison firefighter

Two men – including a Madison firefighter – are in jail following an investigation into cocaine dealing capped off by a search warrant served on Madison’s northside Thursday morning.

Andrey L. Hansbro, 41, a Madison firefighter, and Gerald T. Moran, 56, were arrested and face charges of maintaining a drug trafficking place, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.

Moran faces charges of three counts of delivering cocaine and a warrant for possession with intent to deliver. Also, Hansbro is tentatively charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Madison Fire Department Spokesperson Cynthia Schuster tells 27 News Hansbro was hired Oct. 13, 2014 and is a firefighter-EMT.

“Firefighter Hansbro’s alleged actions do not reflect the values of this department,” Fire Chief Steve Davis said in a statement. “We take these allegations very seriously as an organization, and we will carry out a thorough and swift investigation.”
