COLUMBIA COUNTY (WKOW) — A trucker who was found guilty after hitting a school bus while under the influence is expected to be sentenced Monday.
Wayne Murphy was found guiltyon multiple counts of causing great bodily harm and reckless driving after his semi-truck sideswiped a school bus stopped along an interstate highway in 2018.
Court records show Murphy has a motion hearing followed by a sentencing hearing Monday afternoon.
While he’s been awaiting sentencing, he’s been held in the Columbia County jail.
