Winter weather advisory in effect tonight through Wednesday morning

MADISON (WKOW) – The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for most of our area, excluding some of our stateline counties.

The rest of Tuesday will be cool but bright with highs in the mid to upper 30s. Partly sunny skies this morning with clouds burning off as high pressure builds in late-morning through the afternoon.

Snow showers will develop from west to east around 10 pm to 1 am. Snow will be at its heaviest from midnight to 5 am, luckily while we’re sleeping.

Snow will taper through Wednesday morning, with some seeing quiet conditions in time for the morning commute, mainly farther west.

Still plan on factoring in some extra time to brush off your vehicles and deal with snow on the road. As always, slow down & drive safely!

Temps stay chilly in the low to mid 30s.
