Woman arrested after disturbance at Madison East High School

A 19-year-old woman was arrested at Madison East High School Tuesday after refusing to leave and struggling with a school resource officer.

Juanecia Thompson, 19, Madison, faces possible charges of possession of weapons on school grounds, discharge of bodily fluids at public safety worker, disorderly conduct, resisting/obstructing and felony bail jumping.

Thompson, who is not a student at Madison East High School, refused to leave following a disturbance with someone who is a student.

The school resource officer’s repeated requests were met with yelling and swearing and the woman told the SRO that no one could make her leave the building, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.

Thompson struggled with, and spit on the neck of the SRO, according to police. A backup officer responded to assist the SRO and the woman was taken to the Dane County Jail.

She had a stun gun and pepper spray in her pockets, according to police

She was tentatively charged with possession of weapons on school grounds, discharge of bodily fluids at public safety worker, disorderly conduct, resisting/obstructing and felony bail jumping.
