Group of teens threaten man with knife, steal vehicle

MADISON (WKOW) — The Madison Police Department is looking for a group of teenagers after they allegedly threatened a man with a knife and stole his car on Madison’s west side.

Authorities said it happened in the 400 block of South High Point Road at about 8:50 p.m.

A 60-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle when four teenaged boys approached him and threatened him with a knife. They took his vehicle, but it was found empty just a few blocks away. The victim wasn’t hurt.

Police think this incident is related to another attempted carjacking that happened just minutes before at a nearby KFC drive-through. The potential victim stayed in his car and was unhurt. The suspects ran away.

If you know anything about either of these incidents call the Madison Area Crime Stoppers line at (608) 266-6014.
