Oshkosh teen charged with attempted homicide in attack on resource officer

- A 16-year-old Oshkosh boy has been charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide for stabbing School Resource Officer Mike Wissink last week at Oshkosh West High School.

ABC affiliate WBAY-TV in Green Bay obtained an affidavit in support of a criminal complaint against the teen.

The charge alleges the teen "attempted to cause the death of Mike Wissink, with intent to kill that person."

The complaint states the teen used a barbecue fork with two prongs to stab Wissink, according to WBAY.

"I was just talking to him and he started stabbing me," Wissink told the first officer to arrive at the scene.

The responding officer said there was "a lot of blood on Wissink's right ear and neck."

Officer Wissink shot the teen once.

The teen is scheduled to appear in Winnebago County Court Wednesday at 2:30.
