Madison man arrested for driving drunk with toddler in backseat

MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison man was arrested for driving drunk with a toddler in the car late Monday night, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Alejandro Tellez Romero, 37, was pulled over at Stoughton Road and Cottage Grove Road at about 11 p.m.

When the trooper approached the vehicle they noticed "multiple signs of impairment" and a 13-month-old in the backseat.

Tellez Romero was arrested for 4th Offense OWI. The child was given to Child Protective Services after several failed attempts to reach family members.
