A former Jefferson County sheriff's deputy accused of breaking into homes when family members were at funerals of loved ones was bound over for further proceedings during a court hearing today.
Janelle Gericke, the former deputy, is charged with felony burglary after an investigation by the state Department of Justice.
A Jefferson County judge ordered a $10,000 signature bond and that Gericke have no contact with victims or witnesses.
Gericke waived her right to a preliminary hearing and will return to court Feb. 20 for an arraignment.
