Man injured in Middleton workplace shooting suing estate of gunman

-- A man who was shot six times in a 2018 workplace shooting in Middleton is suing the gunman's estate.

The shooting happened Sept. 19, 2018 at software company WTS Paradigm when investigators say Anthony Tong got up from his desk and opened fire, injuring four people.

Responding officers shot Tong, who died later at a hospital.

According to a lawsuit filed Monday, the plaintiff was sitting in a conference room when Tong opened fire.

That's when he felt pain everywhere in his body, associated with gunshot wounds, including abdominal pain, upper back pain and pain in his left shoulder.

He had multiple surgeries to address the six bullet wounds and three bullets that were lodged in his body, according to the lawsuit.

One bullet completely severed his right facial nerve, leading to paralysis on the left side of his face.

He is asking for a monetary judgement against Tong's estate in an amount to be determined by a jury.
