President Trump clears the way for federal help in Wisconsin after storm

President Trump declared Wednesday a major disaster exists in Wisconsin.

He ordered federal assistance in the areas affected by a severe winter storm and flooding in January.

Federal funding is available to local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations for emergency work and repairs of facilities damaged by the storm in Kenosha, Milwaukee and Racine counties.

Additional designations may be made at a later date if requested by the state and warranted by the results of further damage assessments.
