Car believed to be stolen crashes into Madison home

Madison police are looking for a group of people who were inside a stolen car that crashed into a home on the city's east side Wednesday afternoon.

Police say just after 2:20 p.m. officers responded to a home on the 4500 block of Jade Lane after the homeowner reported that a Chevy Impala crashed into their home, causing significant damage.

The homeowner was in a bedroom at the time of the crash and was not impacted or hurt by the collision, according to police.

Police say witnesses saw four people jump from the car and run away. They say a loaded handgun was found inside the car and discovered it was recently stolen from the Allied Drive area.
