Ten new COVID-19 cases overnight in Dane County raising total to 224

UPDATE (WKOW) -- Public Health Madison Dane County says 224 people have now been confirmed as having COVID-19 as of Wednesday morning.

There have been two deaths, which were reported earlier.

PHMDC says 4,218 total tests have given.

The health department updates the numbers daily at 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services updates statewide numbers daily at 1:30 p.m.

As of Tuesday afternoon, DHS is reporting 16 dead statewide, although the actual number changes throughout the day as individual counties report their own results.

There have been 1,351 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state. Negative tests were 17,375.
