SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- A person is dead after getting hit by a vehicle in Sun Prairie Tuesday.
The person, who authorities have not identified, was hit while crossing West Main Street after 9 p.m., according to a Sun Prairie Police Department press release. The person was not using a crosswalk.
Paramedics took the person to a hospital where the person then died.
Police said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Authorities have not made any arrests or issued citations.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team assisted in the investigation.
