MADISON (WKOW) -- One person is dead after being hit by a truck on the Beltline early Thursday morning, according to the Madison Police Department.
Police were called to a crash on US 12 eastbound in the area of Seminole Highway at about 1 a.m.
When they got there they found a pedestrian had been hit. They tried to save their life, but they died on scene.
As of 2:30 a.m., all eastbound lanes of US 12 at Seminole Highway were closed.
The investigation is ongoing.
