The Madison teen was taken into custody at the scene and had a loaded handgun in a pocket, according to a police incident report.

He was taken to the Juvenile Reception Center. Police will be seeking tentative charges of first degree reckless endangerment, possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18, and carrying a concealed weapon.

The suspect is believed to have been on foot when he fired several shots at an occupied car that was on Lumley Road. It was located in Middleton with two bullet holes.
