A Milwaukee man appeared in court today where he was charged with killing five members of his family.
He was arrested Monday morning at a home near North 12th at West Locust streets in Milwaukee.
Affiliate WISN-TV in Milwaukee reports thats a Stokes called 911 and said, "I just massacred my whole family." That comes from a criminal complaint filed in the case.
Investigators said he was sitting outside and told the 911 operator the gun he used to shoot the victims was still inside the house.
Stokes admitted to shooting his five family members to a responding police officer, the complaint stated.
Stokes is being held in the Milwaukee County Jail on $500,000 bond.
If convicted, he faces life in prison.
