Woman dies at Columbus assisted living center after catching fire

A 72-year-old woman died after catching fire at a Columbus assisted living center Thursday.

Columbus Fire Chief Randy Koehn told 27 News they responded to Larson House Assisted Living, 550 River Road, at 1:07 p.m.

The woman had died by the time the crews arrived, firefighters said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Columbus Fire Department is working with the assisted living center to determine what happened.
